At The Bothy, we offer a range of peer-led recovery services shaped by people with lived experience of addiction. Our support includes one-to-one peer mentoring, recovery coaching, and group sessions that focus on wellbeing, creativity, and connection. We provide free food and hot drinks in a relaxed, stigma-free space, with room to rest, reflect, or have a quiet chat. Everything we do is rooted in compassion and mutual aid. Much of our work is delivered in partnership with organisations such as Edinburgh Food Social, who cook and share free hot meals; Turning Point Scotland, who offer harm reduction support; and the Thistle Foundation’s Connecting Craigmillar, team who helped bring The Bothy to life. We also work
with Queen Margaret University on creative, community-led learning projects, and host a regular art group where participants can express themselves and connect through making.
